Task 1

Several live fish trials are being carried out in Task 1 to investigate the influence of climate change-related stressors in farmed marine fish immuno-metabolic pathways and resilience to disease outbreaks (vibriosis due to he emerging pathogen Vibrio harveyi). Two fish species of great ecological and economical importance in the Mediterranean region were selected as biolgical models: the robust gilthead seabream (Sparus aurata), and the more fragile European seabass (Dicentrachus labrax) as models.
